In line with its goal of investing in early-stage startups Arz Portföy Startupfon announced its new investment fund, Startupfon Seed GDP Fund.
Startupfon Tohum GSYF, launched in partnership with Startupfon and Arz Portföy, received the necessary approval from the Capital Markets Board. According to the information provided by Startupfon, Startupfon Seed GCF will support the entrepreneurs to open up to global markets with Startupfon’s extensive business network, access to investment opportunities, co-investment platform and Arz Portföy’s experience in private equity and venture capital as well as the portfolio management services it will provide.
The focus of Startupfon Tohum GSYF, which will invest in startups at seed and pre-seed stages, is primarily on B2B, Industry 4.0, Fintech and web3 startups. Expected to reach a fund size of 250 million TL , Startupfon Tohum GSYF aims to invest in 40 startups in the next 5 years.
Gülsüm Çıracı, one of the managers of Startupfon Tohum GSYF, stated that they will manage processes such as access to investment opportunities, evaluation of entrepreneurs, valuation, negotiation of investment terms and portfolio management by focusing on the biggest problems of investors, and added that with this fund, the total number of startups that Startupfon will invest in will reach 80.
Murat Onuk, Member of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Arz Portföy, shared that they aim for this structure, which was established with the collaboration of Startupfon and Arz Portföy, to become a sustainable and effective venture capital investment fund in a short time.
