Arz Portföy 3. Venture Capital Investment Fund invests €4 million in axial fan manufacturer GT Karbon. Sharing details about the investment, Savaş Tosun, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GT Karbon İzleme, stated that GT axial fiber fan blades, the design and production of which belongs to them, provide over 30 percent energy efficiency in Turkey’s leading facilities.
Savaş Tosun said that with the investment they received from Arz Portföy, they believe that they will contribute much more strongly to reducing Turkey’s energy-based current account deficit.
Axial fan blades are used by many industrial organizations operating in sectors such as energy, iron and steel, petrochemicals, textiles and food with energy consumption of 1000 TOE (tons of oil equivalent) or more. Axial fan blades, which have 30 years of experience behind them, are produced from carbon fiber in the light of designs created as a result of extensive R&D studies. Fan blades, which are differentiated from their global competitors with their aerodynamic features and have a life expectancy of 49 years, promise customers a short-term return on investment. It also helps businesses reduce their carbon footprint by providing energy savings exceeding 30 percent.
Stating that the use of axial fan blades in factories causes energy consumption of over 1 million megawatt/hour every year, Savaş Tosun emphasized that an energy saving of approximately 30 percent here means saving 300 thousand megawatt/hour of energy to the national economy.
Murat Onuk, General Manager and Board Member of Arz Portföy, said that while we are in the midst of a global energy crisis, they believe that every project that promotes efficiency contributes to national capital. Onuk emphasized that they closely follow companies with the potential and determination to support the transformation of the energy sector in terms of sustainability and efficiency.
